Southern Namibia / Rigtersveld

I visited Southern Namibia with my parents in Autumn 2008. We camped near a small town called Aus from where we explored the surroundings. These Wild Horses are one of the main attractions near Aus as they were left behind by German settlers many years ago.










From Southern Namibia we headed to the Rigtersveld situated next to the Orange River in South Africa. Its said that when God created the world he decided to dump all the left over rocks in the Rigtersveld. All these rocks and desert flora creates a beautiful unspoiled landscape.

Kolmanskuppe Ghost Town - Namibia

Kolmanskuppe is situated near Ludritz on the coast of Namibia. This town once used to be a thriving diamond exporter, but nowadays German tourists flock here in numbers.

I visited Kolmanskuppe in autumn 2008 with my parents. I’d been here before when I was 11 years old. 11 years later not much had changed in terms of the town’s appearance. I wondered off by myself and captured these images of a dead but not yet forgotten town.
